The history of our restaurant
HISTORY
That was the same year that the iconic Bife da Associação (Association Steak) appeared, a dish that has become a symbol of Micaelense gastronomy and a must for anyone visiting the island. Prepared with prime meat from the Azores, this dish helped project the restaurant beyond the island, consolidating its reputation.
In 2014, the restaurant moved to larger, more modern premises, capable of accommodating the growing number of customers and events, without ever losing the essence of proximity and genuineness. Since then, it has also become a venue for weddings, parties and catering services, offering gastronomic experiences in different contexts.
The restaurant also stands out for its commitment to its own products, such as Queijo da Associação and Cerveja Artesanal, which reinforce the local identity and the commitment to valuing regional production.
Today, the São Miguel Agricultural Association Restaurant is more than just a place to eat: it is a meeting point for authentic flavors, tradition and innovation, where every visit is an unforgettable experience of true Azorean gastronomy.
